Just wondering if someone can tell me if what I am experiencing is normal behaviour.

If I switch off my modem, I get a message saying that I have lost my connection to my TV and my tv switches off.

Not sure why this happens when the TV signal comes through an arial and not the internet.

Is this normal and/or is their a way to prevent this from happening?

Yes tv server connection is lost when you disconnect from the network. Maybe someone else could chime in with more info, if it bothers you a lot do a search for "loopback" in the forums.

Just what I needed to know. I have searched on the loopback and it looks like exactly what I need.

Sometimes I have problems with my laptop connecting to my router wirelessly and I need to reboot the router to get it working again. This causes problems If I am currently watching or recording tv.

It's annoying that you have this problem with a singleseat installation.
