MP Client - no subtitles (1 Viewer)

I have single seat setup, which works great. But today I tried to connect to the server from another computer to watch TV. Everything works great, with exception of subtitles, which i cannot get working.

Am i doing something wrong or TV subtitles are not supported, when client is not at same computer as server?

Subtitles are definitely supported on non-server clients. Are the settings in MediaPortal configuration in the "TV" -> "TV Client" -> "Subtitle settings" (tab) identical on the server and client?

Oh, it was so long until I did this on my HTPC machine, that I completely forgot that i have to enable subtitles. Thanks!

BTW, why are subtitles not enabled by default?

I think (guess) simply because most people don't want to see them by default. They actually slow down channel switching a little too...
