Every time my PC comes out of Sleep mode, MP appears to crash. It's still open on screen, but has stopped responding.
I read on here that some one else had this problem, which was caused by their remote control. I have unplugged mine, but the issue is still occurring.

This is very annoying, since I have to force a stop of MP every day after my PC has come out of sleep mode.

I haven't had time to look at your logs, but some issues with freezing after standby can be caused with DVB-EPG.

Try changing the CRC Check option and disable EPG grabbing whilst at idle, and then test them one at a time if this fixes your problem. This was fixed for me with MP 1.2.3 - what version of MP are you using?

I too am on 1.2.3. Unfortunately, the CRC & EPG suggestions didn't work either

    Hi sherbs

It does look like the issue is with the EPG grabber and standby/resume timing. Are you using Powerscheduler++, or the Powerscheduler that comes with MP?

[Edit: if using standard Powerscheduler, I recommend using Powerscheduler++ and configuring to prevent standby when EPG grabbing as per the screenshot here:

dont want to steal the topic but there is also a problem of not going to sleep. this is happening since moving installation to new disk.

    schejk:
Looks like the EPG grabber is often preventing standby. However, in the case where MP was locked on resume, the Powerscheduler seems to have ignored the fact that EPG grabbing was still occurring:

I would report that to the Powerscheduler++ dev(s).

Are you using a static IP address for the TV Server to bind to? In your case it looks like TV Server resumes okay, but MP is unable to contact it.
