Before loading files, MP converts all the filenames to lowercase, and uses the system's localization settings in order to do that.
But this may give wrong results in Turkish. We have some localized characters that are not available in western character coding. Because of that, the "I" character's lowercase is "ı" in Turkish. When MP converts a "I", it is converted to "i" in western coding, but "ı" in turkish system. There may be some other codepage problems in other languages.
This conversion causes an error, and MP cannot be started. This is the error line in Mediaportal.log;
The filename is "NewMailIcon.png", is converted to "newmailıcon.png", and should be converted to "newmailicon.png". This is just an example, exception is thrown for all the filenames that includes capital "i".
OK, i've attached a logfile. Not from my HTPC, but the problem is the same.
