MP crashes on start, MediaPortal.exe.config is ok (1 Viewer)

If this still is broken, make sure the EQ is turned off if using Minidisplay. That bug is back and causing crashes. Make sure music DSP is not enabled. That caused the same type of instant crash on my installation with this SVN(took forever to find it).

A problem lige the EQ and DSP souldent apear without any changes.
It dosn't sound as if this can sudently cause the problem.
And why should the "run as admin" solve that problem?
Or isn't it just me missing the logick.

I have got the same problem, first time i solved it by use of system recovery. I thought it was related to a windows update of Visual C++ 2008, but now the same thing happened after a BSOD.

It I the property start as administrator MP start, but i can not get it restarted after standby. Vista stops my scheduled task from running.

Even this second time I'm trying to step backwards throu my system recovery point to find a working setup.

I think that some file get it's privileges messed up when the system crashes, the question is which one...

Hope anyone can find which file to change to make MP work properly after this thing occurs, system recovery is a slow task, and its not always you can find a suitable recovery point.

Even the second time this occured a system recovery helped.
