MP Crashes or runs slow (1 Viewer)

2 problems:

MP keeps crashing on me. Usually it will run the first time after a reboot (it is set to auto start). But if I stop it to do some other work and then restart MP, it will crash about 5 seconds after it shows the welcome screen.

MP when it does run is now running really slow. For example, on home screen if I click videos, it might take 15 seconds to go the the next screen.

It looks like you're not able to connect to your TV-Server and therefore getting a lot of errors because it can't connect and subsequently transmit the "heartbeat". Are you aware of the fact that it's not running/not setup correctly?

This could have nothing to do with your problems, but it looks like all of the errors in your logs relate to it.

ok, that put me on the right track to solve the crash. When I started the TV server config, it prompted me for the mssql sa password which wasn't right. So I re-entered it and it stopped crashing.

Still runs real slow. (However once a show gets started there's no choppiness, just in the MP menu system)

Hi maybe i can hijack this thread vor my problem with TV Server crashes/freezes

System is
windows home server (win2k5 server based)
MYSQL
latest TV-Server build
Skystar2 Driver 4.4.1.0

i install MYSQL on the server -> no prob.
i install TV-Server on the server -> no prob.

then i start the TV-Service and run the Config tool -> no prob so far
i set up my satelite, and start scanning -> no prob so far.

i want to deactivate EPG-Grabber (had probs with it in the past) .....
i klick on the EPB Grabber entry in the config menu -> freeze
even after 10-15minutes no respond, so i kill the task
restart config tool klick on Channels .... takes ages .... but after 1 or 2 minutes i see the menu
then i want to create groups ..... klick on it -> freeze
when i want to stop or restart the service, windows starts trieing, but after a few minutes it keeps telling me that "service cant be stopped"



when i want to connect from the client, i enter the ip ->freeze ... some times after about 5minutes the TV Menu comes up .... klicking on channels ....no channel .... klicking on TV-Guide is see the channel .... when i click on one of the channel to start wathing ..... it takes ages and nothing happens, after about 2minutes i am back in the TV-Menu, but no TV is running (some times, but not always, i can see an active stream in the stream menu)
everything else (audio, videos,....) works fine at the client, even with the networkdrives from the server.

i couldnt see anything strange in the serverlogs :/ but if you need some information out of them, just tell me and ill post them.
