Hi. i got a problem. Today i scheduled "The Simpsons" (8:15 pm - 09:15 pm) on TV -card 1 (analog tv). MP should have recorded +10 min at the beginning and at the end. So the recording should have been ended about 09:25 pm, but it didn't. The scheduler had the correct timings...but the record didn't stop.
At 10:15pm there was another recording. Same card, same TV-station. Yes...infact he did record this show, but not as scheduled named as "granaten wie wir" but still as "the Simpsons" :( (because he still recorded for the started record at 08:15pm).
So all i wanted to say is, that MP did not stop the first recording although he should have done so at 09:15pm....

thx a lot guys!

---
It seems that MP has deadlocked itself. I can't delete the actual recording. Everytime i start the TVServer comnfig..it freezes when i hit "OK" pr "CANCEL"

Same inside MP. if i try to delete this recording...MP freezes....

Nice bug report, but we are already on MP 1.1.0 Final.
Therefore please update. If the error persists, please report again. ;)

Sorry by my previous logs, here are the good ones.

    Hi,

There is no TV logging here. The 'tvserver.tv.log' does not contain any information, so we have no way of seeing what you scheduled to record and what was actually recorded.

Sorry , and are this logs correct?

    Hi,

There is nothing in these logs about a recording starting. Do they actually cover the time when the recording started and failed to stop?

If so, what program was it, and what day/time should it have started/stopped?

You have a lot of errors in error.log, including many of

    Code:
2010-09-29 09:18:54.203125 [scheduler thread(8)]: RecordingFileHandler: Error while deleting a recording from disk: El proceso no puede obtener acceso al archivo 'D:\Gravacions\V_La 1_manual_2010-09-29_0630_0900.ts' porque está siendo utilizado en otro proceso.

    and some of

    Code:
2010-09-29 09:22:51.359375 [scheduler thread(8)]: card: unable to connect to slave controller at:192.168.2.10

I know that the TVServer was initially intended to support slave servers with additional TV cards. I wonder if this line comes from here, in which case there is something seriously wrong with your setup.

I think that you need to do a complete uninstall of MP / TVServer, including all databases, then reinstall 1.1.0 from scratch without any 3rd party plugins (saying this just in case) and try again.

I am assuming that you are specifying pre/post-record time in TVSetup, rather than amending it for specific recordings in MP itself? This is certainly the easiest way.

Once you have done this, please report back if you have any more problems.

    Best wishes,

    Mark

Something very odd in your logs.

    You have
    Code:
    2010-09-29 09:19:14.171875 [scheduler thread(8)]: diskmanagement: Delete episode TvDatabase.Channel manual miércoles, 29 de septiembre de 2010 6:30:26
    2010-09-29 09:19:14.171875 [scheduler thread(8)]: DeleteRecordingOnDisk: 'D:\Gravacions\V_La 1_manual_2010-09-29_0630_0900.ts'
    2010-09-29 09:19:14.187500 [scheduler thread(8)]: - deleting 'D:\Gravacions\V_La 1_manual_2010-09-29_0630_0900.ts'
repeated 50,000 times in a few minutes and associated errors
    Code:
2010-09-29 09:18:54.203125 [scheduler thread(8)]: RecordingFileHandler: Error while deleting a recording from disk: El proceso no puede obtener acceso al archivo 'D:\Gravacions\V_La 1_manual_2010-09-29_0630_0900.ts' porque está siendo utilizado en otro proceso.
Not sure this is directly related to the recording problem but it does not look right and means logs are very hard to read because they are very large

This means all I can really see in tv.log is the service starting at 09:22
    Code:
    2010-09-29 09:22:46.406250 [(5)]: TV service: Starting

can you look for tv.log.bak in the TVserver log directory and attach that?
