MP failed to change channel (analog) (1 Viewer)

Hi all,

I am configuring a manual channel on TV server configuration and mapping it to my PVR150 card. The channel is analog and I set the channel to 18925 and the frequency to 189250000. When the entry is stored in the database, MP change it to 856036352.


When running MP, a new entry in the registry added :

HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\TV System Services\TVAutoTune\TS972-0\18925 = 856036352

MP fail to tune to this channel and continue with the previous channel.

I changed the entry in the registry manually to:

HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\TV System Services\TVAutoTune\TS972-0\18925 = 189250000

but still MP fail to tune to this frequency and keep playing the previous channel.


The log in this time look like this:

Hi ykamchi,
the TvServer always sets the frequency in the registry when you tune to the channel.

You have to set frequency in MHz in SetupTV, which means your 189250000 must be 189,25 or 189.25 depending on your localisation. Otherwise the frequency doesn't fit.

The log line with ".. Tune to..." contains the video frequency the tuner is currently set to. This doesn't mean that TvServer set this value.

I tried various of configuration options.

1. Editing 189250000/18925/189.25 in the Edit Channel window from within MP TV Server configuration.
2. Updating the frequency field directly in the DB (189.25 cannot be applied, probably because the frequency field in the DB is of type int)
3. Updating the registry with the same options (again 189.25 was not applicable).

BTW - There are also channels (about 10 out of 25) that were found by the scan options are not working and it looks like the problem is the same.
