The other thing is that attempting to append to move a ~1GB log may make MP very slow, so cleaning up the logs and disabling MiniDisplay could have had more benefits than you might think.

That'd be annoying, I *like* the info the minidisplay gives me.

Is there any way of limiting the size of the log files?

@mm1352000: Well, it finally crashed again and it looks like the log files are to blame. I've attached a zip file, but the MediaPortal log file was ~2.5GB in lengths and only got round-robined when I rebooted.

I have now downgraded the logging to errors only, but somewhere along the line my installation must have gotten corrupt - the configuration utility reports an exception error when I try to use it and refuses to save anything. Installing 1.5.0 doesn't seem to have helped. <sigh>.

I *really* don't want to have to re-install from scratch and loose all of my configurations, databases and fanart.[DOUBLEPOST=1381559592][/DOUBLEPOST]Aha! Found and fixed exception error - empty xml configuration file.
