if i understand correctly, you have to install latest SVN and overwrite TVCapture with the one ronilse compiled and posted. so there is no rolling back at all...

btw, i'm having same prob too... will try this 'fix' as soon as i get home...

    Hi,
Not many changes around there, so using rev 12967 or 12970 doesn't mater, use latest availible SVN & check if this fix the prob.

    ronisle, using new TVCapture.dll

One improvement Channel changes have speeded up, had not noticed slowdown, but dramatic difference now, getting as near instantaneous changes as real TV.

That's the problem when keep switching between TVE2\3, sometimes do not spot the obvious.

    Just some feedback

    Hi Roy,

    Thanks for the binary.

Used latest SVN and TVCapture.dll. All seems to be working and agree with Paranoid Delusion that channel changes seems to be faster.

Will this be logged as an official bugs and fixed in one of the SVN's?

    Regards
    Anton

Guess I have to hold my hands up to that one, sorry. That patch was worked out between me and and-81 before xmas and I did run that version for a week or so before posting it in the patch queue and had no problems.

I have moved on to Tv3 and added a DVB-S card so will be a little difficult to test again but might have to as I thought that change was solid. Not sure of what changes, if any, were applied to that code between Rev 12342 and the rev the patch was applied to that area of code that may have had an affect.

    Hi, trevor
We don't hang you for this one ;) I'm too on TVE3 (as most of us) & doesn't switch that often back to old tv engine, so didn't test this before i saw the original thread.
But it's easy to switch between the different version by having several folders & the rename method (+ uninstall TVE3 & plugin/install again)

I have to take the blame for this one guys. As Trevor said, we tested it and didn't have any trouble. And to look at the code you would think it would be fine.

Does anyone know _why_ it causes the crash?

And yes, rolling back the patch will make MCE Replacement plugin fail again.

If we can't get a fix for this working then I'm going to have to remove multiple tuner card support from my plugin. Which would suck.

I think maybe someone with a deeper knowledge of the TVE2 needs to look into this problem ... Anybody?

    Cheers,

Still dont like breaklng things though and would just really like to know why that change had the affect it did...

I know switching between versions would not be that tricky but was more concerned that as my hardware config has changed that may effect the results of any test, hats off to the devs is all I can say having to deal with so many system configs, countries and there differing TV standards...would not move off of MP now.
