Well, I think I have the solution for my problem:
In the configuration under the General tab, "Play first unwatched episode" was set under; "On play action on series or season view". I have changed that in; "Do nothing" and didn't have that problem anymore..
@mat123: Maybe that's also the solution for you!

Strange, that should only affect when you press 'Play'. Do you have Play button mapped to 'OK' ? That feature is so you can press play button at the series/season level and play based on your selection.
Anyway, will take a closer look at that code as well.
I find it hard to believe that changing this setting magically "fixes" the error. The error is probably just hard to reproduce in some scenarios so it might be just hidden for now. But OK, let's say it fixes the freeze for you, We still need to fix the error in the code![]()
So...could you share DB file? Also, I can build special test version of TVSeries that will log some more info if you're willing to test?
Two problems, so:
1. Freeze
2. Crash with dialog ("Mediaportal had crashed") - screenshot?
You have to focus on one problem at a time and tell me when it happens? "sometimes" is not enough, it has to be something like "during import", "when i press X", "when i open X", exact sequence to initiate the crash
Logs. Logs should be clean with one problem reproduced only and when posting them, note the EXACT time of error (hour:min:seconds if possible).
Use this DLL to reproduce problems and gather logs. Don't forget to put that setting back so you can reproduce first problem. About DB, it's not needed yet. If we're lucky it won't be even needed![]()
