Hi

First posting so proberbly missed something but here goes. Set up MP do problems but already knew that the TV card was not compatible so decided to try the TV Server.

Followed all instructions (and double checked) and all seem fine. The config application is updated. The TV server applications seems fine but when I try the application in MP I get a blank page with a "file missing" error message.

Been through this forum but cant see anything similar. Only want to use the function so I can record some programmes off my dedicated PVR as well!

any help appreciated:

So if you open up TVServer config, you have Channels listed that you can select, and then hit the preview and you should be able to see\hear that tv station.

What does the error message say, try using BlueTwo skin to test as may be a skin issue.

Had you installed the TVClent "setup plugin" in the TVE3 download.

    Hi Ray

Yes the preview works and I have tried several different skins but get the same message each time - black screen with a message stating "file missing".

Yes used the TV client set up. To double check this I can confirm that in the config menu I can only use the TV client menu.

Forgot to ask did you install mediaportal svn same revision number as TVE3 download.

Install in this order MP svn, then the server plugin.

In start menu there is MPTestTool, use this to produce logs and upload using the go advanced + feature.

    Cheers

    Hi,
File missing message it's because MP needs the same svn number as TV Server(TVE3).

    Regards

    Hi

Followed all of these tips, done a clean install of MS SQL, MP, then TV Server/Client. I have finally got it running and recognised in MP but can not see any channels (even though with dedicated programme I can find channels?).

Other problems are that I have lost video playback. I have changed codec to MPV (as it was before). I can get a thumbnail but no full screen (even thogh I had it working in previous install). Also MP seems very sluggish and slow compared to before.

I seem to be going round in circles here - any further ideas
