Looks great Fabrice! If I were to add anything to a "wishlist" of sorts for this plugin, it would be the ability to crop video.

Keep up the good work man.

EDIT: On another note, isn't it about time that this thread get moved to the plugins subforum? Maybe - hot - plugins?

Hi Noelix,

Thanks for your help

it is good suggestion, i will add the crop setting in plugin, but i have sub-question, in MP you can setup the crop settings for TV recorded, so i think i can take it when you transcode TV record and for other source you can customized the value ? what do you think ?

Before to move the plugin, i will just finish the DVD rip and fix the sync problem with some mpeg file

Regards
Fabrice

The crop settings only work for TVE2 television recordings, so as I am recording with TVE3, there's no crop available to me. But besides that, the bigger idea behind adding a crop setting is to be able to crop shows that are letterboxed (i.e. the office; heroes). Maybe what you could do is have the ability to specify the crop settings in a profile, so you can have a 16x9 show profile and a 4x3 show profile. That seems like it would be the easiest way to integrate it.

TVE3 Scheduler Support

Firstly great plugin & Thanks for All your hard work Fabrice.

This should replace the old Elecard Compression stuff in the main MP.

Hi,

Here todo list:

1. Finalize the version 0.8:
....

3. integrate TV3 records: solution is to connect to DB of TV3, read the records, transcoding and after update the DB.

....

if you see different things or not useful, say it :D

So I take it this is why the Scheduler doesn't seem to work as I'm using TVE3, also matches with why selecting Recorded TV shows nothing as it doen't know where My Recorded TV folder is.

Would a simple solution be to allow the Plugin to "Watch" a folder (i.e. "Recorded TV" as specified in TV Server setup") and any *.mpg &/or DVR-MS file in that folder at the scheduled time is transcoded? This would seem simpler than attempting to support 3 different TV DB's. Although, I presume the DB integration would be great for retaining the EPG data but for many compression & HDD space is of more importance.

If the DB integration is no big issue a Watch folder feature may still be useful to some users.

Thanks again for some brilliant work Fabrice and any other members of the MP Dev team in general. :D

Hi,

for TV3, i need to check the db to obtain the full path where the record is stored ,and after i update the path in DB with new transcoding file, so after when you play your record from TV plugin or like stuff, it is transparent .

i am in vacation one week (my wife don't known have an internet access ;) in the hotel )
so when i come back, i release the version 0.8 with tv3 feature, other feature

bye

would be nice the option: "not transcode when TV is playing or recording"

because of jerky picture when the files are transcoded
