There could be an 'Adhere to Windows font scaling' toggle or something in config no?

Has this "issue" made any progress? This seems like a good potential solution (the default being to do whatever makes MP look right)...I'm surprised there aren't more people experiencing it, as it seems pretty common to me that you'd need to bump your dpi when using a tv as a monitor. I also wonder how many people have immediately uninstalled MP thinking that it wasn't working right, but not knowing enough to troubleshoot....

i also am getting this problem and would like a way to solve it, quite often we use the computer out of media portal so need a good solution.

Have you tried MediaPortal 1.4, or 1.5 Pre Release? Much work went into the UI and rendering in that release.

Yes I'm using 1.4 but still get the problem, is 1.5 stable enough for Daily use

The 1.5 Pre Release seems pretty stable to me, although this will depend on which parts of it you use.

Best to report back with 1.5.0 Pre if the problem is still there. Logs will be needed, ideally with fonts at 100% and 150% (or whatever).

I found that enabling an Aero theme in Windows 7 fixed the problem of large fonts in Mediaportal for me.
