I'm having some major problems with my MP setup - hope someone can help diagnose.
In the last 3 weeks I've rebuilt my HTPC 5 times with XP / Vista same issue on both:confused:

* Issue - system goes into continuious stuttering:eek: - becomes absolutely unwatchable

Hoping someone can tell me if it's a MP bug or a system setup thing? - keeping in mind I've had MP successfully running for over 2 years...

Found this in the TSReader Log... repeats alot....

    Hi,
Does the stuttering happen in exactly the same place every time you play the same ts? Do you have any old recordings from when your system did work? Do they play back ok? Do you have any other way of identifying if the problem is on the input/recording side or output/playback side? Also the obvious questions... What has changed? Was it just the MP version (If you go back is it ok?), have you changed any drivers (or forgotten to get them since it sounds like you have been re-installing), have you tried older drivers (the ones you used to use). Have you changed your TV at all, the connection to it, or the resolution you are using? Your cpu usage looks high to me. Have you tried any codecs that allow hardware acceleration? Maybe you just need to go right back to a working system and then work forward again....

Sorry if this is not much help (I know these issues can be frustrating), all I can suggest is a methodical approach, if it used to work then look at what has changed....

    Good luck...

    Andy

Is the AMD cool 'n' quiet enabled? MP doesn't get along with this, and you get terrible stuttering on TV. Set power settings to "none".

    gloomyandy, milhouse,

    Thanks for your replies..

Have tried all suggestions and rebuild from working base (image) but all the same, stuttering continues regardless of the codec - (i've got a dual boot with Vista now and still the same)

Was hoping someone in the know could check the logs provided and let me know more about where the issue is..
Surely the repeating error must mean something to someone...

    Thanks for the reply

Have read through and seems to be the same problem.

Although - I'm 8 Kms for the Melbourne City Centre, and have never had signal problems previously.
So I'm not sure to be frustrated, disappointed or both with the move towards signal strength Intolerance.
