MP-TV Series not automatically updating my shows (1 Viewer)

Mediaportal automatically scans my movie folder and updates when I add a new one, but MP-TV Series doesn't seem to do that. The only time it updates is when I close and restart Mediaportal.

I tried "Run Import," and "Actions -> Update, Force Online Refresh, and Force Local Scan" but none of them did anything. Any tips? Also, what is the difference between those 4 things?

Check your MP-TVSeries configuration settings relating to importing. For example perhaps you have the setting disable to allow imports to occur during fullscreen playback, or have remote shares (aka NAS/etc) disabled, or a very long delay.

All of that could interfere with what you are expecting to happen.

Thanks, is there a special place where the import settings are located? Which ones should I check for? I think I have the standard ones checked right.

I have the same problem. Automatic series update has stopped. I need to close down MediaPortal and manually update. If I in the GUI try to "Run Import" nothing happens. In settings I have also tried to set import during fullscreen playback.

Same here.. since a few weeks without any changes in configuration I dont get any information except series number.. No series banner on new series, no episode information on added files..

files that were added until yesterday have been updated in the last hour and show all the information. I hoped the problem was solved but after adding a new episode the program added this episode to the MP-TV series library but again without any series info or episode info.

Are you sure the data online was available when the episodes were imported, we also cache data from online and didnt get a proper updates lists from the API to clear it, hence it maybe using outdated data.

Typically if you update the data online it should push through on the next update that the plugin does, you can configure that interval (default 12hours) in configuration.

Yes, I am quite sure the data should be available.. The last series I added was 'Falling Skies'. For sure this has series info and banners available from the first season.
This is not about new episodes that might not have information available. For a week or more I had the same thing with older episodes of Desperate Housewives which were lacking info where newer series that were added before did have the information added.

One more thing: when the episodes or series are without information or banners they show up as 'Watched' and have the blue highlights.. Can this lead to some direction?
