I think such site is more useful for tv series than movies cause it is harder to say what tv episodes did you watch.
I make fresh install of MP many times and always lost info what episodes i've watched. It is easy to redownload banners and fanart but itis hard to remember what episodes you've wathed.
I can't say for movies but for tv series such sites already exists. You can keep info about series and episodes you've already watched there. Also these sites can calculate total time you've wasted watching tv.

Maybe mp-tv series devs can integrate their plugin with existing sites or make new site special for MP or make integration api? I think when MP markes episodes as watched it may send this info to the site.
I'd like to see integration with myshows.ru, maybe others with mytvepisodes.com or mytvshows.org etc

You can avoid loosing what episodes you've watched if you use the "export watched flags" in the TVseries configuration tool. Bu I agree that it would be cool to have one site that can handle the "social" aspect for various MP plugins. Perhaps mymediaportal.org would be an idea? Music, movies, LiveTV and TVseries.

Tip of the Day:
Did you know if you rate your episodes after watching them, tvseries can auto set your watched flag for that episode when you turn on another pc in the house or re-recreate your DB.

Basically on import, tvseries pulls down your user ratings from thetvDB.com and in tvseries configuration there is an option to also set your episodes as watched if rated online.
