This plug-in ALONE has convinced me to setup a PC for MediaPoral. I'm an avid XBMC user and you are a god-send to the XBMC community.

I have updated the download at http://home.iprimus.com.au/miarose/ with a new release.

Please read the readme beofre installing as some settings are changed or no longer required.

New in this release:
* Grid style EPG like MP. This means you can see what is on multiple channels at once. The old style EPG is no longer in use.
* A major bug for special characters in XML requests back to the server. (Thanks Peter)
* Bug in recording grouping that meant not all recordings were shown

Known Issues:
* Text in Grid EPG overruns edge of button on right edge. Will be resolved in next release.

Any suggestions and changes are welcomed.

Coming together quite nicely. I am still waiting for the day that we will be able to view Live TV from MediaPortal in XBMC. The new EPG style guide is a major improvement over the previous implementation for the TV Guide. Looks like you still have a bit of work ahead of you, I've had my eye on this project since I first saw it a few months ago, and wow! This has come quite a long way since the original release. Keep up the good work!

Update to verison 0.6

New in this release
* As promised text overlap in EPG grid has been fixed. Some programs in ALL CAPITAL letters may still slightly overrun but I think I have found a happy medium.

* Now shows recordings in EPG just like MediaPortal including if they conflict (See screenshot)

* If a item in the EPG is selected and is already set to record it can be cancelled from the EPG. This only cancels a single episode and not an entire series.

* A moving slider on the EPG showing the current time if in view (See Screeshot)

* A realtime clock in the EPG so you know what time it is.

I have just updated my Mediaportal to 0.2 RC2 and the XBMC Script V 0.6 and this combination appears to have broken the application. I can view the recorded files and play them back but I cannot view the EPG. I had this working with MP V0.2 RC1 CVS 17.12.05 and XBMC script V0.5.

I have checked my XBOX system time/date as this was an issue previously but they are all correct.

I have looked at the MP log and the XBMC Service has a socket thread exceptionystemMissingFieldException:FieldNotFound:'MediaPortal.TV.Database.TVGroup.tvchannels' error

Could the channel DB have changed on RC2???

Small update to 0.6b

This adds suport for Mediaportal 0.2 RC2 and has been recompiled against .Net 2.0 and latest MP sources.

hi olbo,

You can't change the time at the moment unless you change the strings in the python files. Hoping to customise this later and look at multi language support.

However having a lot of trouble with foriegn characters in filenames and strings at the moment and it is taking some time to work through.

Ok I understand.
I dont have knowledge enough to change the strings in the python files by my self.
Looking forward to have a multilanguage version with 24h format and as I am from sweden some of our strange characters such as Å Ä Ö are replaced with ? so it looks kind of strange...
But the script works great anyway
