Like many other people in this thread I've got problems with dropped frames. I think it's caused by the wrong refresh rate. I have attached three screenshots.

ARD_SD: german SDTV-channel lots of dropped frames and the wrong refresh rate
    ARD_HD: german HDTV-channel works fine
DAS_VIERTE_SD: german SDTV-channel no dropped frames and the correct refresh rate

A strange thing is that from over 40 SDTV channels only one channel works every time correct. Sometimes I have a second SDTV channel with the correct refresh rate, but a few minutes later when I zap back and they have changed to a new show/series it has then the wrong refresh rate. Actually the refresh rate is between 40 and 42.

The following things have I tried already
    - Chance Codecs
    - different dshowhelp.dll's from this thread
    - changing the mpaudioswitcher.ax

but nothing help. If you need logs or more information please let me now.

    Thanks for your help.

It looks like just a GPU performance problem - from the pictures, the two channels that work are progressive scan (not interlaced), one is 720p @ 50fps, the other is 576p @ 25fps. 'Detd FPS' is the frame rate of the decoded and de-interlaced video when it reaches the dshowhelper.

The channel with lots of dropped frames is interlaced 576i @ 50Hz, so it needs de-interlacing - the ION/7600GS GPUs are not very powerful, de-interlacing + display to 1920 x 1080p screen is probably too much for them to handle....

I will post some logs tonight. Should I run a special routine so that you got the right informations in the logs?

With previous MP Versions (<1.2Beta) I had never any problems. I've got the dropped frames since I made a clean WIN7SP1 install and then installed 1.2Beta.

What/where do I have to change something to get 'de-interlacing' for these channels?

    Thanks

    I run WIN7 without SP1 before.

EDIT: I have upload logs and screens.

    1. Clear all logs
    2. Start MP
    3. Watch HDTV ca. 3000 frames only a few dropped frames (unfortunally I forgot the screenshot)
    4. Zap to SDTV channel for ca. 3000 frames lots of dropped frames (see screenshot SDTV1)
    5. Zap to another SDTV channel for ca. 3000 frames no dropps (see SDTV2)
    6. Close MP

    Thanks for your help.

    Hi all :)

I have a tiny little problem, maybe someone can help me...

Actually HD and SD material playback works almost perfekt, but on HD Material 24p I get some strange stutters every 5-8 secondes.... It only happens on 24p....

I already tried different dshowhelpers , different Codecs... same result...

Also different refresh rates didnt help.. With other refrehrates than 24p, the graph goes completely crazy...

    My System:

    Windows 7 64bit
    Mediaportal 1.2 beta
    AMD Radeon 5700
    AMD X2 2.8
    TV : Samsung LE46c750

    Help :)

Just to check if it makes a difference, try using the dshowhelper from 1.2.0 alpha - download - and 1.1.2 - download
