Thanks, but in the 1.1.0 version there is no setting any more for the timeshift folder, right?

I can't find that either. Good to know there's a debug option for Configuration though. :D

I'm wondering if the setting Graphics > 3D > All > Wait for vertical refresh in ATI's CCC has any effect on this whole situation? As I understand it, this is the vsync setting in ATI's driver, the options are "Always Off", "Off, unless application specifies", "On, unless application specifies" and "Always On" - I set it to Always On. Is this a bad idea? What's the recommended setting?

    Thanks.

That has no effect on Mediaportal.

Guys, just to let you all know (although it is maybe offtopic)
I own a ATI HD4350 passive. I finaly got it working in combinaion with HDTV + deinterlacing (vector adaptive) + MP. :D :D

I installed AMD's Fusion 2.0. It reduces the system load significantly. This together with the latest dll (v19) I get a cristal clear and nearly judder free result :) Thanks Owlsroost!!! :)

mironicus: I had to set v-sync to always on, otherwise I saw big judder sometimes. Ofcourse this might be placebo effect.

AMD Fusion.... very interesting. Just downloaded and installed it. Which profile do you use for Mediaportal?

Re: AW: Re: AW: Re: MP1 EVR Presenter/dshowhelper community development

I made further tests: I switched constantly between two videos with 29,97 fps running at 59,94 Hz. Starting and playing for some seconds, stopping - playing the next... and repeated those steps. There are no refresh rate changes.

In some cases the started videos are constantly stuttering - not everytime, but sometimes. (tested v13, v19)

My TV supports also 1080p29. If I playback the two videos with this refresh rate (1:1) - there is no stutter at all, even if I start and stop the videos like a beserker (works fine even with the original dll). For this videos 1080p29 is running like a dream. But to stay compatible with all kind of NTSC videos (interlaced, FILM-converted NTSC) you have to use 1080p59.

It would be nice if Mediaportal could recognize interlaced video and switch between 25/29,97 Hz and 50/59,94 Hz automatically. MP uses Mediainfo to retrieve the information about the framerate of the video and uses this info to switch to the desired refresh rate. Interlaced videos are reported as 25/29,97 fps - for this you need 50/59,94 Hz. If the videos are progressive there should be an additional detection to switch to 25/29,97 Hz.

I've just added v0020 to the first post - this has some changes which might help in 1:2 video:display fps ratio situations.

So you have no frame drops in live HDTV now?
