    Hi,

as far as I can say now, v20 is working fine.

I will try v37 later or tomorrow again.
I can't say it for sure, but I think i tried pausing and there was the same problem...

I don't know... I'm the first one reporting that problem?!
Perhaps its related to an other problem...

    Hi,

plz can someone test v37 with ARD HD, ZDF HD, ARTE HD to confirm this?!
It seems to me that with the latest version I have some random blockings/artefakts.
Not all the time, some minutes are running really fine, then heavy blocking appears.
That happens also right at the beginning after switching to one of theses channels.

v20 works fine (at the moment)

v37 works with the rest of my vides/tv fine, too.

I reinstalled my system, so perhaps its an other problem.

    ATI 5760, Cat 10.6, SAF 5 (PowerDVD Codecs), Win7 x64

Try microsoft codecs. With H.264 cyberlink codec and ATI 4670 I have problems (stuttering) on HD channels.

Same here, and same in other users htpc..... seems the only good codec for tv is microsfot, but it is not related to those dll, i got stutter also with the original one.

I have now watched ARTE HD (with v37) for some time and its running ways better than tuesday... argh ?????!?!!!???
I had only some blockings and pausing live TV seems really to help.

I will keep an eye on it ;)

    Tested with PowerDVD Codec 10

This is true at least with ATI. With NVIDIA ION I find powerdvd to be the best, probably because it uses CUDA.

Cyberlink filters works very well here with Radeon 5450, much better than MS Codecs that gives you pixelated pictures on channels like Das Erste HD.

Just make sure to use the combined Cyberlink MPEG1-2/H.264/VC-1 Dec decoder v1.0.0.1505 from PowerDVD 9 for MPEG2 and H264 within Mediaportal (HD Pack 2.4). This filter also eliminates the flicker problem with SD-TV for ATI users.

I also tested the filters from PowerDVD 10 but they can cause stuttering playback within Mediaportal (just happens randomly, Mediaportal still reports 50 fps and no dropped frames even if you get some jerky playback). This random stuttering does not seems to be an ATI problem, it also happens with my NVidia ION client PC, if I use PowerDVD 10-decoders. I only saw those stuttering within Mediaportal, not in other software like DVB Viewer using the same decoder. This jerky playback happens randomly and disappears after some time (20-30 seconds) and the picture is fluid again.

robyf as usual i disagree to that ....cuda is not used by pvdvd codec, but just in powerdvd player as also stream ati technology. maybe it is something else about nvidia. I think is is something inside tsreader of MP. :)

oh well i'm talking about powerdvd10.

mironicus: i 'll try powerdvd9, you are right the quality of powerdvd is slight better then microsfot, but i see much difference on SD. but no way to get powerdvd10 working smooth on ati 5770 nor 4670 on TV ...perfect only with videos

    bye

I really like the DScaler MPEG2 decoder, it is a trouble-free MPEG2 decoder which works fine on ATI. No flickering, no hardware acceleration is used, but you can force hardware deinterlacing so you'll get 50 fps the whole time. This decoder worked fine with Mediaportal 1.02 but not with Mediaportal 1.10 anymore. I reported this problem some time ago but no one reacted. I really like to use this "free" decoder instead of the Cyberlink ones. Also the DScaler Audio decoder works fine if there is an audio channel switch from stereo to mono. The most free audio decoders can't handle this situation and the sound gets muted in those cases.
