But do I need to have ReClock installed?

    No you dont

Pfieewww.. I was afraid I was polluting the development with false bugreports. Glad Im not :)
    Thanks

But I suggest you to try with reclock and vsync correction disabled because it fixes stuttering it fixes stuttering in 25fps xvid to me. So give it a try, it may solve your problems.

    Owl: please note this.

I 've tried a lot of files with my Panasonic plasma at 50Hz. no problem with Reclok speedup from Cinema to Pal. Stuttering has been defeated :D
Also I test the same files on my monitor Asus at 75HZ. in this case there are some problems with stuttering yet

    I tried dll 10 + reclock (vsync disabled) I have a few stutter...(very few, maybe 1 or 2 every 2 minutes)..

for me the best one is always dll 2 + reclok (vsync disabled), it work very good for every situation.
    thanks..

Yesterday I decided to test some things, so I turned off ReClock completely in MediaPortal and just used your #10 dll. Everything (tested mainly XVID and 720p mkv) now is silky smooth on my 50hz Plasma. When I used ReClock (with our without vsync) I got audio dropping out and many stutters. This might of course be hardware specific, as I'm using an external Soundblaster Live! 24 Bit USB to output to my DD/DTS reciever.

ue paisà ... cecet you have to let know owl the original frame rate and refresh rate of you monitor . ever. Because also I've some stuttering but imho in a very specific case that is 1:3 fps/refresh ratio. with 1:2 I've no problem.

I tried dll 10 with on 25fps videos on 50hz at 1080p... and I have some stutter, so I'm back at dll 2.

Can anybody tell me if the default reclock settings are OK for testing?

In my case the graph shows me that reclock is in the graph but it is not connected. When i try to manually build a connection. Graphedit tells me that it isn't possible. I've an AAC 5.1 channel mkv but ffdshow or reclock refuse to connect.

also reclock always tells me cannot sync this video to your hardware. Set your monitor to a multiple of 24hz - but my system only support 50hz.

You have to set "speed change of media with pcm Audio" and its maximun speedup from 1% to 5% at least. because Reclock must speedup the pcm channel form 24 or 23,967 fps to 25 fps. 1% is the default .
Obviously no pass-through can be used. every multichannel must be decoded in pcm channel.
check the "time stretching" checkbox to improve the speed up algorithm also "when speedup" checkbox.
use aC3 encoding setting let reclock to recode the pcm channel to put the spd/if pass through stream straight to the sound card .
(i've a dolby digital live sound card so i don't use this last setting)

Ok, thank for the tips all.
In my situation with a TV which basically accepts and shows everything I throw at it (23.967/24/25/29.97/30/50/59.9/60hz)... Which dll would be best for me now?
Is it dll v10 with reclock? I presume using reclock is adviced anyway?

You have to try... I'm also in your situation, I can play any content with the matching refresh rate but have stutter in some situations. Reclock solves this stutter with small clock adjustments. I use it for videos and DVD, only, not TV.
