[no Bug] MP2 Alpha Release - can not install on Windows XP (1 Viewer)

I can not install the MP2.0 Alpha Release on my Windows XP SP3 machine. The .msi package quits the installation with the error (translated from German):

Windows Installer:
This installation package can not be installed by Windows Installer Service. You need to install a Service Pack for Windows, which contains a newer version of the Windows Installer Service.

I have SP3 and newest Windows Installer 4.5 for it. Also I did reinstall the Windows Installer 4.5 but I still get the same error. Is there a problem with the MP2.0 Alpha .msi package? Is there an .exe version of this?

MP2.0 is only supported on Windows 7 (not XP or Windows 8)

Oh well, after your hint I just found this information hidden in the MP2 Wiki FAQ. Thanks. The devs should write that more prominently in their Alpha Release announcement.
