Hi guys,
(fisrt of all sorry for my bad english)
If I understand correctly, MPII will let us to mount a server at home with all multimedia files, satellite and TV cards installed into it. This server may be hibernating all the time waiting for a customer machine to awake it ...
without energy consumption ...
It's that correct?
Because it is EXACTLY what I'm waiting for ...

I'm all for pure Windows 7 aswell, even though I do understand that some people don't want to upgrade all their HTPCs to Win7 due to costs. But my guess is that going for 7 only will be the most futureproof solution aswell.
I might be thinkign too far ahead now, but let's say that we'll see MP 2 "final" in what? 2nd half of 2011? At that point it'll probably only be 1 more year untill we get "Windows 8", and then you'll have to work with support for Vista, 7 and 8.
Not quite true - I had issues with random lock ups until I disabled the processor throttling (in the power schemes control panel applet)Windows 7 however has zero issues with sleep and waking up.

'cos M$ are effin' [edited for sake of virtue - insert own comment ]I've heard that CPU throtteling causes problems with sleep mode often, why is that?
