If it's about trying MP2 first to decide, if you can switch, the much easier way is to install MP2 in parallel to MP1, while stopping the TV-service of MP1.
Once you wish to continue with MP1, you just can uninstall MP2 and activate MP1 TV service again. TV settings from MP1 can be exported and imported in MP2 again within the TV-Setup.
I have not followed the manual yet, as I do not use MP1, but the failure that a password is asked for SQLite occurs usually, if the connection is not possible.
Root cause can be a wrong setting or in parallel running TV-Server of MP1. I believe even with a manual it's not easy and only for experienced hardcore users.
