that is indeed a nice looking interface, and it can be done using the current version... unfortunately I'm not a very good with graphics... If someone is willing to provide screens, it would be easy for me to cut them up into the required elements..

how are you connecting your PPC? when you are running activesync, UDP packets are blocked.. (now playing ifo is pushed from the server using UDP)
don't ask me why.. one of those decisions of the MS engineers, probably for a good reason..

if you don't have WIFI, you can still create some sort of WIFI bridge over bluetooth, but I don't have any experience with that.. some other people who posted here have..

MrSensitive - Strange the image appears fine using Firefox, but not with IE6. Not sure why.

MrSensitive - Do you want icons or the image of the the entire button (with text)? Since you are working with a 240x320 screen size, should I wait for a larger screen before creating icons/buttons -or- will downsizing of higher rez images work?

I have it working with 0.2.0.0, however if your pda goes into standby, communication ends and you have to exit and restart mpblue. Also, if the music was playing before mpblue connects, then you won't get now playing (but the time of track is updated) until the next song.

Make sure you have the latest version of mpblue, the previous versions will not work on the now playing screen

The problem with the blank "now playing" screen is solved. My router blocked UDP.
Tested it with an adhoc connection and it worked perfect.

because the skin engine does not support alpha blending I need to "cheat" a bit to make it look good.
either you provide one PNG with the screen how you would like it, or all elements as separate PNG's, I can then use paintshoppro to build the UI.. and to give the impression of transparent buttons..

about screensize.. make them for a 480 640 screen, it is easy to resize for 240 320 versions...

just to make things clear, I'm prioritizing on the thinks ZetaVu has reported, almost finished, but it broke some errorhanling code I was implementing earlier..

Sorry, i did not read your post enterly correct.
the button class does support text, but it is not flexible enough to print text at the bottom of a button..
also Cleartype is not supported..

buttons with text might be best.. but will make it harder to resize...
on the other hand, I can use PaintShop to add the text myself...

MrSensitive, did you ever get a new build out? I've been swamped but last I read you had some fixes, maybe a setback, either way, any progress?

not yet, I fixed the things you mentioned, but I'm now working on the playlist stuff.

I lost a lot of time trying to figure out what code I needed to use in MP, I think I got it now, but apparently I'll need to copy and adapt a lot of it make it work in a client server way..

Does the current build work on MP 0.2.0.0RC1? This is the version I'm still running and I copied the .dll to the directories you mentioned but I can't seem to find in the config app where you configure it.

Also has the client been tested on WM5?
