MPDisplay++ - Extended Display/Touchscreen Plugin​

A Second GUI For MediaPortal For Multiple External Monitors/Touchscreens/PC's.​

Introduction​

MPDisplay++ is a WCF server/client based display solution for MediaPortal, With MPDisplay++ you can display any Mediaportal information from your HTPC to any other attached screen's or any PC's anywhere*.​

MPDisplay++ has an independent skin engine so you can customize the way you want it. MPDisplay++ is basically a second GUI for MP.​

You can connect as may MPDisplay++ UI's to the plugin as you want.​

*You can use MPDisplay++ on any attached Monitor/Touchscreen on your HTPC, Also you can install MPDisplay++ on other PC's on your LAN or over the Internet to control MediaPortal. For over internet use the correct MPDisplay++ networks ports must be available for external connections (default port: 44444)​

As you can see we are finally in Beta

This is where I ask you guys "Whats missing" and "What do you think will improve MPDisplay++".

If you have any Feature ideas/requests just let us know and we will see if it can be added to MPDisplay++.

To all Users that are using the Avalon Skin:

The installer seems to be a bit corrupt. It does not delete some files depending on what you have choosen in the setup routine.
You have to do this by yourself. If you want to use the horizontal menu, delete the file "MediaPortalWindow_Home_v.xml". If you need the Vertical Menu, delete the file"MediaPortalWindow_Home_h.xml".

Sorry for this mistake!

New Installer available on DL page since 12.12.12, 19:45. Issue is solved!

Hi,
just made a clean installation (starting from scratch) with MP 1.3 downloaded also MPD++ Version 0.9 and got the following problem.
Something like this couldn't finish installation ... if you have just installed Net.4.0 restart your PC.
Im my Windows 7 64bit PC Net4.0 is already installed but I re-installed Net.40 but it didn't fix the problem.
Any ideas or suggestions=?

Edit: Okay fixed it. The problem was an not totally un-installed previous version. Uninstalled the old, the new and installed .9 again. Worked.

Hello dear community MPDISPLAY
I have today once razed the update to 0.9 and have a problem here which found no list appears in the series and MyFilms. In full-screen television, he does not show a progress bar and no title is the same in full-screen playing movie and series missing here all the texts it is only the thumbnail displays the properties of the film and backdrop. When the skins I've Tried all three and is all the same problem. Is this feher already known or is there perhaps a simple solution for the problem. MediaPortal 1.3 beta which I have on it. With the same system with my brother and MediaPortal will n show up in everything but the TV series and films on MPDisplay not to play information about it just stays on the last picture are.

Hi kleinerflo,

Please try to reinstall mpd++ completely. After uninstall remove all folders of mpd++.
I also installed mp1.3beta today and everything is working fine here. We have another issue in german forum where (it seems to me) the server app was not removed correctly. May be you have a similliar problem that the uninstaller didn't worked correctly (like ojessie's problem).
