Hi, its sa_ddams wife here, he asked me to post on here to let people know we are all ok. We have no power or water so I had to do a mish to find somewhere to use the internet. Thanks for the messages, we are all safe and uninjured

It's not really important at the moment if you hear what happens in New Zealand, but let me write a sentence to the future of the plugin. I just read, that MPDisplay2 will not work on MP versions above 1.2 Alpha. Is that definite? I think we cannot stay on 1.2 Alpha in the future. As I could see in the MP roadmap the 1.2 Beta will provide a lot of important bug fixes. Somewhere in the near future we will be forced to use a newer version. It's a shame, sa_ddam213 goes to the time and effort of creating this fantastic plugin and it will be disappearing from the scene somehwere Is there no way to adapt the plugin to the new MP version an it's changed code?

His writing was about supporting the current svn code.
Ofc when 1.2 is released, he will have a new version.

Maybe he will already work on a 1.2Beta version, but currently i think he has other troubles than that.

Sorry hwahrmann,

but this is not what sa_daam has written...

(MPDisplay2 will not be compatible with MP versions above 1.2.0 Alpha due to the code changes, And because of these code changes MPDisplay2 will probably never work on future versions )

That means – MPDisplay2 will only work until release version 1.2.0 Alpha. It will never run on 1.2 Beta nor on 1.2 Final or above.
We will get this Plugin to work on the current Final MP Version, but that’s all.

I was in touch with him via eMail regarding this and he told me different.

But again, it is up to him to decide, how he will continue.

OK - after the earthquake I had no contact to him at all and before I was on a seminar.
If it’s otherwise, this would be very good information.

Another thing about the skins I made for MPDisplay2: Some users told also in german forum, that the Skins are “overloaded”. If this is so, it would be nice if you can tell me what is mainly needed and what not. For the first step I thought to delete the whole RSS- Feed Stuff and make the labels a bit bigger. Also I will increase the size of the Covers and Logo’s.
