MPTouch - Mediaportal TouchScreen Plugin (1 Viewer)

Hi,

have tested the current version 0.0.1.0. Really nice, looks great with the MP pictures! Weather info is working fine for me.


Some findings (XP, RC2):

- If the plugin is enabled picture and audio are not syncronous in TV playback. Picture is about 500ms before the sound. If disabling touch-plugin no issues, picture and sound are syncronous as it should be. I hadn't seen that in the V 0.0.0.8. Does anyone else notice such behaviour? Is there a way to retrace that in the logs?

- Plugin starts in Basic screen and shows browsing through music as well. If starting playback of a song, it jumps to "Now playing". Shouldn't it jump back to "Basic home", when up/down button is pressed to be able to choose a new song (and jumps back to "now playing" after some seconds automatically if no button is pressed)?

- While playing a little with the touch buttons I had a picture freeze of the plugin, when I tried to close the "navigation pad" in navigation screen. The frame of the pad stays in the front of the screen. At first the screens changed in the background, after some seconds the plugin had a comlete picture freeze. No logs for the moment, will provide if this happens again.

I'm still impressed about the really great plugin. Keep up the good work!

And next the error log when you start a random movie with subtitles. The log asks for C:\ProgramData\Team MediaPortal\MediaPortal\Skin\StreamedMP\Media\Logos\subtitles.png while streamedmp has the logo images in a subfolder.

When I enable the MPTouch plugin, MP seems to start okay and so does the plugin, but right after MP startup sequence, I get an exception and I can't us MP. Without the plugin MP works fine.
I've got pretty much the same error as 'wackid'

Could it somehow be caused by the fact I don' t have the TV part of MP enabled?

Yes you are right this will only happen if you do not have TV server this will be fixed next version

If you mean having more than one touchscreen attached , Then yes this function will be added as i have small 7'' touchscreen in my case and two 15'' touchscreens in my walls(I have tested and this will work but not stable yet)

This is the main problem i have had throughout development , Getting property information without disturbing MP is tricky and once again has had to be redesigned thats why there was no release last week but should have new version on sunday for testing (hopefully)

Thanks a lot for that absolutely GREAT plugin! *fall on my knees* Perfect for my Zalman LCD-Case and since your plugin,
that case doesn´t suck anymore by using it with mediaportal.
I´m looking eagerly each day since one week for any update - keep on that great work!

One question - the touchscreen doesn´t work everytime. That means I can touch on any button and it shows that I´ve touched
it, but it can take 10-20 times before it changes the screen. Sometimes after 5-10 times, but simply never on the ´1st touch´.
I´ve reinstalled IMon etc, but it principially it works, because the buttons are highlighting every time. Do you know about such
problems???

Furthermore following questions:
When do you think are you be able to make screensafer resp. that the LCD will darken if I´m watching movie or TV?
At the moment, each time I´m watching a movie, I´ve to put a towel on the case

This is no critique in any way, of course! It´s a fantastic plug-in and hope you´ll keep up that good work!!

Hi,
set mediaportal always on top to false (V0.0.1.0)


focus issues are causing the touch issues try the new version released today .
the new version must be set to Mediaportal always ontop to true (focus fix finally) (V0.0.1.2)
In imon settings under "frontview" set mouse click click option to normal or click on touch

First of all for your work.

I have a problem with very high CPU load, when MP on homescreen, and MP Touch on startscreen/default. Browsing
TV, Movies, Pictures etc on LCD TV gets stuttery/stepping instead of the normal smooth rolling behavior. If i put MP Touch to show for example system information it's all back to normal. It has been that way in the last realeses, but I have always thought that it will be fixed in next realese, but no. Is this something that effects just me, or is it everybody?
Hope you understand what I mean. (Due to poor english)
And please, keep up the good work. This makes my Zalman case with LCD touch useable.

Great to see that there is a new version.... i've checked the forum every day for the new realease.
So....i installed it...

But unfortunatly it crashes again. It starts up okay....but when i close mediaportal i see the windows 7 message "mediaportal has stopped working.

And sometimes mediaportal won't start at all.

set mediaportal on top as "true"

I've attached the error.log. Hope you can see what the problem is.
