Hi sa_ddam213,

May I add some feature request?
- Add Main Mediaportal window and display management. Here are the scenari
--- Both displays are ON. Turning the main dispaly OFF make windows think it will never reapear. -> Put TouchScreen plugin on top of MP so we can continue using it.
--- Touch screen in ON, Main screen is OFF. Turning the main screen ON doesn't make it reapear in windows settings. -> Enable main screen and move MP windows to it.

Hi,

can i ask some questions about? Not sure, if I understand right. You want to have the complete MP screen moved to the smaller display, when the main screen is shut down? I don't think that make sense. The plugin is designed to show a limited view of main display's information and it's not designed to show fullscreen video etc. You can shut down the main screen and control MP with the small touchscreen to hear music, radio etc.
For my configuration it's no problem to use both display and shut down main screen. I can start with touch screen only from Hibernating. If starting the big screen later, MP still there on it.

Maybe I got you wrong, then please explain ;)

    Hi sa_ddam213,

Hereby the log files, its taken when I activate Sys Info and MP crasches.
Hopefully you find some time to look into it.

Ow, a question: where should al the skin pictures appear? In my setup only "no image" is displayed...

Exactly the plugin I am looking for, But have a couple of problems

1: I need my touch screen to be the primary screen. When I open programs ect they must not default to the TV. I am using a CRT so it does not work well that way. Specially when I want to use the pc with the TV off.

2: I am using RC2 and the plugin does not show up in the configuration app. So it does not launch at all

Maybe I explained myself wrong :)

I use a projector that is not seen when it is OFF. I don't know how to tell the OS to keep the settings even if the display is OFF :-(

After I turn my projector OFF, windows only see ONE display. MP is moved by the system to the touchscreen (that becomes the only display available). My request is to keep touchscreen plugin on top of MP. Additionnaly, MP doesn't stretch well when using a 16/9 skin on a 4/3 display (this is normal).

After turning the projector ON, if MP can be moved back to the projector, I will be the happiest MP user :-D

I am using RC2 and the plugin does not show up in the configuration app. So it does not launch at all

I had this problem also until I read the setup documentation. I put the dll in the wrong directory...

    Hi,

I solved it differently. I bought a Geffen Detective, which simulates my TV. So Windows is always thinking my TV is on ;). No problems anymore with plug&pray.
Starting MP with this plugin makes it possible to manage MP whitout the TV powered on or in you're case the projector is on.....
When you need more info concerning the Geffen detective, google it or let me know.:)

Thanks John for this useful advice.
It's not cheap but I will retain it as a solution.
Solving this issue by software should be the cheapest one :)

    Hi Neo2Angel,

I don't think your issue is specificaly related to the touchScreen plugin. Maybe you will have more luck on the general support forum with complete logs.
This is the best way to find help :)

    Have a nice day,
    JC
