could perhaps have a second soundcard to say output music to zone 2 or something like that but i have a feeling you wouldn't be able to have that running then say my tv running on zone 1 at once, as MP would stop the music i think to run the tv, but you could theoritically run music to zone 2 and be doing something else like watching pictures on a slideshow or something

No multi-zoning support in mp. Maybe later, but it is quite difficult to implement on the GUI (so that it would be meaningfull & easy to use)....

I don't know about MP2 but as you said you tried MP1 too, how is the MP music config ? MP(1) will only use LAV if you select "Internal DirectShow player" as music output, but then you lose gapless playback. If you you don't have multichannel music you can choose WASAPI as the output and set the number of speakers to stereo. I have...

Are different people taking turns watching the same thing on the same HTPC? For me, separating users in MP2 is a drawback, as is the interface. Simply put, this can't be done in MP1, or rather, it can't be done quickly, because everything would have to be rewritten. But if each user logs in with their own Windows account, MP1 can...

Fixed, I think. Certainly the vintage MP2 installer that I was using no longer installs the LAV filters. I can only assume that these were never part of the install package itself, but rather downloaded during the install, and that link no longer exists. Shame that the installer doesn't indicate this. Last time when I installed the...
