Well, all MP screens (XML files) have a ID, when using the plugin for keyboard/remote Input Plugin, your can map any key to that ID. That way you can go, for example, to My Weather, just pressing Ctrl+Alt+w (or another combo that you want), but when adding a 'fake' shortcut to the menu, using Multishortcut plugin, there is no screen (or XML) to know that ID. I hope that my explanation is clear and you can understand it well.
Thank's then, I suppose giving ID of each plugin created by multishortcut (with ability to change it) like showed on the screen above should be benefit for mapping keys, isnt it or, I am wrong ?

    I'm using this path:
    C:\Archivos de programa\Team MediaPortal\MediaPortal\joost_icon.png
    regards,
Please, put .png file in folder \Team MediaPortal\MediaPortal\skin\Blue Two\Media\ and try.

Also, for the picture, i've just added the path and the png filename to the field (like in your screen capture) and it doesn't work. I'm using MP 0.2.3 + latest SVN... The shortcut works, but there is no image displayed when i select it in My plugins menu. I'm using this path:

    C:\Archivos de programa\Team MediaPortal\MediaPortal\joost_icon.png

    can anyone confirm this, please?

I have the same problem, no image shows up but the shortcut works fine. I've put the image in my skin's media folder, but still nothing. :(

    MP 0.2.3 for me.

Sorry, but i can't get it to work, i've tryed all combinations with picture path, but it still doesn't work. Can u verify the plugin? Are u using PNG format in your tests? May be that the problem is with folder's long names?

    thanks,

    Latest version here

    Changes :
Ability to change IDs in plugins config.
May be useful for mapping keys and/or remotes.
Plugin has his own config xml file now.
    Icon for DLLFix.

    patricon :
    I tested with this :

    I tested with hover alarm.
On my system, entire name for png file is :
    D:\SVN\MediaPortal\xbmc\bin\Release\skin\BlueTwo\Media\hover_my alarm.png

As you can see, it is working :

May be is it because property of your png file ? Don't know.
    Regards.

I've just installed new version. The new feature for custom ID works fine!! Many thanks, i can now map the shortcut in my remote, it's cool. But still the problem with picture is present. I've done many tests, and finally, after some errors i've found a extrange thing. If i use my own hover picture in PNG format (i've tried from Fireworks using PNG 32, PNG 24 and also PNG 8 with transparency mask) it doesn't work, but the extrange thing is that following your example, i've tried using the same picture than the one that you've posted in your screenshot, hover_my alarm.png and it worked!! but... i've used the path to media folder in B2 skin, and selected hover_my alarm.png, then i've started MP and it displays hover_my alarm.png BUT not the one from B2 folder but the one from my current skin, Replicant Vista Edition, so your plugin is ignoring the path supplied in configuration window and it's using only the picture name and looking for it into the media folder of selected skin. This only works with the provided standard pictures with B2 skin, but it's not woking if the picture has a custom name (joost_icon.png in my case)

I hope that this helps you to solve the bug...

    regards,

    so your plugin
    Sorry, it isn't mine ;)

    regards,
This is not a plugin bug (or, I don't know how to resolve it).
You are true, no need to put entire path, tried with hover_test_aaa.png (renamed hover_myalarm) without path, it works.
This is MP operation : For having pictures, you must put the png file in the correct \skin\your skin\media folder and, the picture name must begin with "hover_".

renaming the picture to hover_whatever.png did the trick, and also copying it into media folder in my skin. It's a bit confusing, so i think that you must change it in future versions, may be allowing only names starting with hover_ and also only browsing contents of media folder...

    thanks, and regards,

I've also noticed a small problem. When i launch an app with this plugin, it doesn't gain focus after it's launched, can this issue be solved?

    regards,

    regards,
    For this, two possibilities :

1/ Uncheck MediaPortal always on top in configuration/general settings from configuration.exe.
    or
2/ Put HideMPWhileExecuting to True like this :

Latest version. (same link as below)

    Controls for Picture Name.
1/ picture name must begin with "hover_"
2/ File must exist in MP installed folder\your skin\media

    Regards.
