Hi All,

This plugin looks great. Unfortunately, I have to beg to differ with this line in the topic post:

5.2) Configure each one (the config form is self explanatory

In my opinion, as a brand new MP and BTV user, it's not.

I had to read through the whole thread to finally figure out how to add a picture to a new plugin, but nowhere does it show how to link the exefile, or what exactly that means.

I want to add BeyondTV to the menu. So far, for the exe file, I have tried:
C:\Program Files\SnapStream Media\Beyond TV\BTVD3DShell.exe

It is the link that my bookmark to BTV uses. It's not working, instead, it sends me to a sleep timer page... not sure how that happened. Is the exefile supposed to be the path to the app you want to link into the MP homepage, or is it some textfile I need to modify with my settings?

In the directions, it mentions that I should add the new plugin to the Home plugin. There doesn't seem to be anything to do other than set the time format in the Home plugin. Is this not the "Home" plugin listed in the "Plugins" section at the bottom of the MP Setup app?

Also, I was able to remove the My TV link from the advanced home page with the scrolling text, but on the basic home, there is still the My TV link, which I would like to get rid of also.

Again, it looks like a great plugin, but I think the documentation is a little too lite... I, for one, would certainly appreciate more verbose instructions, and an example or two.

Thanks for any tips or tricks! And a big round of thanks would go to someone who bolstered the guide in the beginning of the thread!!

Sure, just use the path to the exe file like here:

mshovf6.jpg

be sure to enable (set to true) HideMPWhileExecuting. Also check that the ID you've used is not in use by another function. If you follow the instructions on first post it should work fine...

Thanks for your response!

One question: I don't recall seeing a plugin ID field; is that vital? would it be the ID for BeyondTV, or Multiselect?

The ID is only vital if you are planning to add a direct button in your remote to launch BTV ... if not, you can leave it empty....

The field I refer to is the PluginID field, which I just don't see.

I downloaded both MP and Multishortcut last week, so I assumed I was running a recent version, but it's possible I found an old one. I'll check the version when I can.

Thanks for your help!

The PluginID is a value you define, it should not conflict with an existing value. There are a list of the already used ID in the wiki. It is not something that is displayed on the screen. The PluginID is then used to create a direct button press to the application.

If you are not seeing the PluginID like in my picture, then you are not using the latest version of this plugin. Use the link that i've posted before.
