Hi,

I'm trying to get this plugin to work with the rc4 release of Mediaportal. I've added a button to the menu. When I press the button, the menuitems minimizes and immediately maximizes again.

The error.log tells me about a System.FormatException at System.Number.-StringToNumber, called from MediaPortal.MultiShortcut.Multishortcut.FindID(string& name). Any ideas about what the cause of this could be?

Please, when you have problems, attach your MP logs and also, your MulitShortcut.xml file.
Otherwise, it will not be solved.
Edit : And try with MP 1.0.

Can't start screensaver

This works fine to launch an executable file, but I would like to trigger a screensaver from MP.
When I try to do this using Multishortcut, however, I get an error message:

Could not start program !
Config section : Aquarium

However, I don't find any indications in the logfiles (attached).
Is this an inherent limitation of Multishortcut, or is there some way to get around this?

I tried it and it works.
exe field populated with this: c:\windows\system32\sspipes.scr

How did you set it up? Maybe a screenshot?

Thanks for the tip that it worked for you. My screensaver had an embedded space in the filename, so I had enclosed it in quotes. After removing the quotes, it works fine.

I have ceated a tutorial in the Tips and Tricks section to put a screensaver link on BasicHome menu.

The same concept will apply to any other shortcut. We are not limited to Home menu anymore. Even BasicHome can now be utilized.

Thanks to our community, firstly for this plugin and secondly for the nice basichome menu editors available.

Hi,
I`ve installed the 1.0 Final and now i cant use any MultiShurtcut app. Before the 1.0 I used the RC2 and everything works fine.

I press the button for the action, MP "minimize" (everything becomes smaller) and MP "maximises". The "exe" will not be executed. I tried C:\Windows\Notepad.exe ... this one althogh das not start.

In the Log I dont see anny Lines from the MultiShurtcut Plugin... In this thread i read about a multishortcut.xml file, i cant find it anywhere.

ps: i have imported the old settings from the rc2 with the settings backup tool, but i dont think that does matter.

Maybe it is worth a try to reinstall this plugin following the guidelines included in the download. Mine is working fine after a fresh install.

Looking at your log, I think that the only multishortcut active is FirefoxIntegrator.dll.
