Hi,

Thanks for the folder help... I got that under control now. My next problem is that I am creating links to all my games through the MediaPortal menu, but in some games, I click them, and nothing happens, and on another one I click it and it opens a totally different game... I checked the exepath but it is correct.

Any help would be great

first the plugin is working great. shoul dbe implemented in MP itself rightaway as Myprograms is still a headache.

thr only problem i have that calling a button in homescreen when a tv show or video is running in the small window ( i think they call it gui) starting the executables leads to a crash in MP. i have to turn the gui off before executing the external program. is there a solution for this problem??? i think there must be a way to "kill" the gui before starting the external programs...

there is a function to close MP window before opening the program you call, but I am not sure if this solves your problem

I'm not sure what I'm doing wrong. I have put into place shortcuts for BeyondTV4 and Firefox. I have specified their paths WITHOUT quotes. Even though they showed up without changing the home plugin, I went in and added the two items to the home plugin. When I hit enter or click on the items in the home screen nothing happens. The only thing that I can see happen is the media portal logo starts it's little animation over again after I hit enter. Nothing else.

I copied and pasted the paths out of explorer into the shortcut configs to make sure that it was not a problem with a typo.

Any idea what I'm doing wrong?

Don´t know, but have you marked MediaPortal on Top in General Setup. If so - remove the mark and test it again.

That option is not currently set. I have tried to do a alt-tab after hitting enter on one of those items just to see if they were opening in the background, but they do not appear to be.
