Re: MultiShortcut plugin.

Okay, let's try this:
Reproduce the error and then close out MP and attach your mediaportal.log file, let's see if it will shed any light on this.

    Re : Re: MultiShortcut plugin.

i switched to the blue3 wide skin, disabled basic home, loaded MP, found the shortcut, selected it. the screen went blue (like the background of the skin), then returned to the menu.
    Hi,
Can you upload your MultiShortcut.xml file, please ?

    Re : MultiShortcut plugin.

    Hi,

It seems you configured 3 Multishortcut plugins.
Is the LaunchZinc plugin working fine ?
For hulu, you have 2 plugins :
    - LaunchHulu wich launch a .bat file
What is the content of this file ?
    - And finally, MS-Hulu wich launch the HuluDesktop.exe
Was it your intention to have 2 separate plugins for that ?
Since I don't use this soft, I also found that you didn't fill the PreDirectory.
Sometimes, soft need a directory set.
Maybe in your case, the predirectory value should be : C:\Users\jeff\AppData\Local\HuluDesktop\ ?
Did you read the specific post about hulu and MultiShortcut there ?

    Re: MultiShortcut plugin.

not at home at the moment to look at anything.

to answer your question about zinc shortcut it doesn't work as well.

the .bat file was a test that i was trying to see if it would work. that was the most recent thing i tried, and didn't work anyway.

pre-directory? i wasn't sure that was supposed to be filled out, i know on the older version in vista, i only needed to do the .exe file location and then tell MP what to do when this launched.

i read that link for hulu and multishortcut, it is where the .bat file came from, except i remove the ir stuff.

maybe i will delete everything multishortcut related, including the multishortcut.xml, then reload it and put in the pre-directory stuff as well and see if that works.

    thanks for the help framug

    Re: MultiShortcut plugin.

    i got it working

i deleted the multishortcut.xml and .bat files, deleted the multishortcut folder, and dlls i added.

i redid the install, i added the pre-directory and the location of the exefile. added the id to the xml file, configured steamedmp to include it and it worked.

thanks for the help framug and dreadfury

    Re: MultiShortcut plugin.

    Hello,

I tried to run the original Multishortcut plugin that I had been using on Windows XP Pro and Media Portal 1.0.2. I am now using Windows 7 Home Premium 32-bit and Media Portal 1.1.0_BETA-1_rev23491. In following your instructions, and running dllfix.exe, that program crashes. So then I found this thread with the new files. I downloaded the one's for MP 1.1.

Even with that, I get a similiar error. I get the following info from a dialog displayed that says "DLLFix has stopped working". All that is showing in the console is: 1) Patching files...

    Code:
    Description:

Any ideas? I love this plugin, and have to have it!

    Thanks,

    Tom

    Re: MultiShortcut plugin.

try right-clicking the dllfix.exe and choose 'run as administrator' since I can see an UnauthorizedAccess error.
Also, be sure you do NOT run the dllfix.exe inside the MediaPortal plugin folder(s), do it in a separate, clean folder.

    good luck.
