MultiShortcut plugin (3 Viewers)

Hello,

I set up this plugin on my MP 1.15, but with StreamedMP skin installed.
I followed the guide but in home there isn't any buttons for shortcut.
Maybe is it not compatible with this skin?

Thank you very much for updating this extremely useful plugin. I have found some very cool things that I can do with it, and plan to share some tips with others.

However, I have run into a problem that I hope you can help with. I am running the latest version of MP 1.22 under a fresh install of Windows 10 Pro.

The MultiShortcut 2.6 works perfectly with MP 1.22, but only if you have one instance.

When I attempt to run the DLLFix.exe program, it shows this:

However, I don't think the DLLs are modified at all. When I open MP Configuration and go to the Plugins section, all four the copies of MultiShortcut00.dll that I renamed (e.g., Houston.dll, Galveston.dll, etc) are all named the same thing. In my case, the first one alphabetically (so all the plugins were called "Galveston").

I thought it might be a Windows permissions issue, so I opened up permissions on the plugins\Windows folder and the individual DLLs, but no luck. I also tried re-installing a few times, disabling my firewall/antivirus, running DLLFix.exe as admin, running in compatibility mode, and a bunch of other things.

Can you help? If it is not possible to update the DLLFix.exe, could you provide a few copies of the MultiShortcut00.dll files (e.g., *01.dll, *02.dll, etc.) so at least we have a few multishortcut dlls with different IDs? I could use at least five

Again, this is an awesome plugin that is very useful. I would greatly appreciate any help you or anyone else can give.

Please let me know if you'd like copies of log files or need any other information.

Hello John,

I made many changes in the past in this plugin (ie : patch xxxx file with nn value) but never comittied it.
And, with a crash on my side, then, the work is lost.
Therefore, I record your demand.
You are true, with Win10, you have to run dllfix as adminstrator.
Please, be patient (holidays, etc...) and, if I can fix, I will do it.
Stay tuned.

Works perfectly. Thank you!

It said "First Method Ended", then "Press a Key to continue". When I pressed enter, it processed the four copies of MultiShortcutXX.DLL in the folder.

I was able to successfully set up four shortcuts after that, and they all worked.

Hello John, thank you for your test.
Yes, the first method is the old one.
I would like to keep it for backward compatibility, if some users use an old MultiShortcut plugin version, it's needed.
Then, I will upload v2.7 on the first post and commit changes in svn plugin trunk tomorrow

I'm using v1.27 at the moment and wanted to run notepad (as a test case), however this is what the log says every time I try to start it:

[MPMain ] [INFO ] - GUIWindowManager: Could not find window 7000

Am I doing something wrong?

The ID was 1266 before. I changed it to 7000 and also changed the XML accordingly

I'm using titan skin, and I wonder how the system finds the correct xml file (even when the ID in the file is correct.)

Normally, you should not modify the .xml file by hand please, use MultiShortcut plugin(s) configuration for that.

May be the problem is here, I tried with Titan (don't know if this skin is maintained), I can't even not see MultiShortcut plugins.
Also with this skin, I can see error in log that infoservice skin is missing, problem for extension plugin, etc...



At least, I'm sure it works without log error in PureVsionHD skin.
