burr,

You can duplicate it as many times as you want as long as you relaunch the dllfix.exe in the plugins/window/ folder before you go to set up the configurations.

MultiShortcut I love you.

:D

That's all I wanted to say.

Well alright, it means I can run DVD Shrink, Spotify (full desktop version), Last.FM (full desktop version) Firefox and NeverMissTV all from right in MediaPortal, and it is beautiful, thank you thank you thank you!

Does anyone know of a good way to close a program that you launch with this plugin with the MCE-remote? I've made a link that opens Internet Explorer for football, but I can't figgure out how to close it without a keyboard/mouse.

I need to know this too. I've added neverMiss.tv, and I can't close it without using a mouse.

Simply map a Alt+F4 combinaison keys to your remote should do the trick.

I was hoping there was another way, since I *know* my parents will hit that button when in mediaportal, and a program is being recorded in the background.

closing MP will not disturb recordings, the tv server is seperate and there is no window to alt-f4 and close, so no worries about that.
I use alt-F4 all the time to close MP and many programs, 99% of the time for 99% of all apps, they close gracefully.

I personally use IRSS and map the quit button for each program I use regularly, and an alt-f4 button in the system-wide setting to handle anything I didn't setup specifically.
I make a setting for MP and leave it blank, instructing translator (IRSS) to ignore system-wide mappings while MP is focused.

Really? i thought MP has to be running.
It says in the FAQ that it does here.

    Is that wrong?

Oh Lordy, yes. The docs are woefully out of date and should not be publicly available in my opinion.

All TV functionality apart from the user interface is handled by the TV Service, which is a Windows service. It happily runs in the background recording everything even if MediaPortal is not running.

    Cheers,

    Rob.
