Currently at work, so can't test, but did you check if it's caused by selecting last added items in FH config?
As with bigger DBs this can take quite some time, this should also be done asynchronous, if not already.

Yup, have recently added items activated and use it in BasicHome for all possible items (Video, TV Series, Pictures, Recordings and Moving Pictures).

Hi,

This has nothing to do with latest added stuff. Is done totally async. But the question is if you have added the new cache property to the images that is displayed in basichome (latest movies, tvseries and so on).

My Backdrop skin that uses all latest media and fanart for every menu item takes less than one sec to return to basichome.

I´m caching the backdrops only atm. So should I cache the recently added items as well or not? Will try it with caching now

Hi,

Please cache the latest images. Backdrops controlled by FanartHandler (#fanarthandler.) should not be cached (handled by the plugin).

Yeah, that was the solution! Caching all the items reduced return to BasicHome < 1 sec. Markus!
