I have just installed MP 1.6 final and the issue is still present. When playing an MP3 + .cue there is a small gap or maybe overlay when changing to the next track.

And gapless works with other players?

What are your settings (Screenshot)? Maybe provide a sample to test?

We began talking about this some time ago over on this thread.

If I use the same MP3 + .cue file in say Foobar this works perfectly. I have been told I am wrong but many years ago MP used to do this flawless. I think something has changed over the years. MP is seeing the track listing based off the .cue file and all is displayed correctly in the music folder.

We just appear to be getting either a gap or maybe its an overlay for a split second between tracks.

2 links below, the first is the MP3 + .cue and the other is a sample of what the error sounds like. At the 29 second mark to will hear the issue.

I am more than willing to help out with as much info as you need. My music collection is full of these type of files. It is very common when ripping mixed CD's to use MP3 + .cue

Can you try WASAPI as Player not Bass engine?

    EDIT:
I tested your files and there seems some kind of overlap. Definitely no gap for me. But this only seems to be a problem with cue files. Tested single mp3's and I did not see an issue.

    Same result using WASAPI

Also, can you have a look at my log files? 1 of my machines crashes when changing to the next track.

Hi, Just to be sure, can you describe step by step how you setup your music env ? :)
    For example :
1- You create the folder Mushroom Jazz 6 and put the Gapless playback.m4a
2- Play Mark Farina - Mushroom Jazz Vol.6.cue
3- Then Gapless playback.m4a and issue appear here ?

    Thanks :)

    The file is MP3.

When you rip a cd to mp3 you can rip as a single mp3. When this is done you also create a .cue file. This cue file is used to index the single mp3 file.

So, as long as the mp3 file and cue are in the same folder and have the same file name Mediaportal will display each track number and name. Then you select a track, Mediaportal will go to that index.

Is this the info you need?

Did you download the sample and add to your music library?
