OK new version in first post with the option to change the language for artist and album info. I did a quick check by setting this to German and I think you may all be quite disappointed as to how well this is populated

I added the option to default to English if your chosen language is not available.

Other change is how fanart thumbs are named. You really should delete any thumbs downloaded by the previous version of this else you really will end up with lots and lots of duplicated fanart. The new names should be (in the main) compatible with the latest fanarthandler (which does not actually appear to be in MPEI)

Latest version is here not via MPEI though. I would suggest you disable music grabbing whilst looking at this else you will end up with lots of duplication

Someone mentioned they saw artist bio info in now playing but now when browsing? Was this the same artist? If so could I get a copy of your music database.

That was me, and it was the same artist indeed (Jimmy Cliff).

Jimmy Cliff is the Artist in question. Album name: Ultimate Collection (1999)
a quick look in the dB shows ArtistInfo, but no AlbumInfo present.

Very quick update:

Album art: 722 in database: 1294 scraped (big and little thumbs)
Albumartist: 1302 (4003 artist tags) in database: 2227 scraped
cdart: 568 scraped
clearart: 741 scraped
fanart: 2740 scraped

Cannot go in detail right now, I'm off to work now.

Results:

Albumart: 1348
Artist: 2604
CD art: 568
Clearart: 743
Fanart: 2470

Can't check the rest for now. Really have to go to bed. But I attached the database and the log. Hope it helps.

Tested latest version, all seems fine - get all the artist thumbs and fanart as before, but most are better quality
Artist clearart and Artist CDart looks good, artist bio in German is not so bad
Only problem seeing atm is this one (wrong title duration):

When an album has text for the review, then the titles are shown in reversed order:



When an album does not have text for the review, then the titles are ordered correct:



I also found that searching from the context menu doesn´t work either.
If I click on "Show Album/Artist info", it always returns "No album info found" (even for well known artists like Chicago, Phil Collins, Bryan Adams etc.)

That is the order from theaudiodb.com for some reason. I will sort it properly

This is MP. The artist / album grabbing code is broken because allmusic.com has changed its layout. That is something in core MP not this plugin.

Oddly Bryan Adams though is not actually on allmusic.com so we have never been able to grab a bio for him. You can get English, Hungarian and French bio from the audiodb.com though so he should be showing up now
