    Steps to reproduce:

Install Mediaportal 1.50 Pre release (I did fresh install)
Install moving pictures and make a database (I copied my backup one) and/or install online videos and enable one or both of them.
Set Mediaportal music to WASAPI exclusive mode (see my settings)
    play some music
press 'x' to switch between now playing and playlist, do this repeatedly!
    You should hear crackling noises

Log file was created with movingpictures on

    Can anyone confirm?

    Edit:

This won't happen when you install mediaportal without 3rd party plugins or when you start mediaportal in debug mode.

Maybe there are more plugins then the 2 mentioned above that can cause this issue.

Issue can also be reproduced by just moving around in mediaportal doing real use scenarios. But the above described method with 'X' is the easiest to reproduce

Using this test version doesn't make a difference:

    Created Jira issue:

When you say "repeatedly", does it mean you press it several times a second or once in a while to switch back and forth?

I've tried both scenarios, with Visualisation enabled and without, anc couldn't reproduce the stutter.
If you run it on a "clean" install without the plugins mentioned above, are you ok then?

Just switch back and forth with X. This issue doesn't happen with those plugins disabled

Visualisation doesn't need to be enabled. Just the steps described above.

Sometimes it can take a lot of 'x' presses until these crackling noises happen. In my log it happened after every second press of x

I guess so. I can reproduce this on my HTPC and my Server.

Lets hope somebody else can reproduce this.
