I have worked with grabi_2001 (thanks for your support) on this - it seems like a bug. For some folder.jpg MP creates the thumb cache for the folder in low resolution only (both files have low resolution). Will mantis this. Attached files show the issue (zip file with structure).

i've seen the same effect and i made some tests:
A "folder" -image in resolution 1000x1000pixel leads to two small resolution images in the cache-folder.
When i resize the "folder"- image to 999x999 or 800x800 pixel everything works fine.

thanks for the tip, but this is a labor of several hundred folders insane .. in the view there is not any folder / cover etc. in this resolution ..

Of course, the existing folder / cover may be the ugly they are stored in a different resolution to the effect, or need to be further processed ... as I said is an incredible effort, especially since it worked in version 1.3
