Are you been focus on one basic homescreen now? Or is there the option in next release to choose between a couple of basic homescreens.. Like streamedMP..

Right now I think (and hope) ALL ideas are appreciated. So if you have some ideas, put them here. I really like my first suggestion (if I may say so) but we've really been spoiled by StreamedMP and X-Factor with the many available Basic Home styles, so here's another layout I just did. The idea is to keep the look from other parts of the skin while having a really basic home menu. The menu would work/move in an AEON style, but instead of having the focused item in the center, it would be to the top left with transparency on the other list items. Having the bar at the bottom gives us some space to keep info about the latest items and perhaps also Now Playing info?

If the Latest items use an animation, they can be really small when browsing the top menu, then when the user presses "down" they can grow very large to show more detail. Would be very cool if the F9/Info button could be used, so cover flipping could be possible like in Cover Flow. I don't know if the skin engine allows that for the Basic Home screen though. Perhaps a timed animation could work, so if you select one episode in TV Series menu item for example, waiting for 2 seconds changes the transparency so you see episode info displayed on a dark background behind the poster? Perhaps too flashy.

What do you meen with; "your first suggestion" ? How it is in the current version of the skin? Well, I like your idea in post #132 verry much.. Maybe with a bit more contrast between the menu and the backgrond.. (like streamedMP; sory that I refer to that so much:sorry Do you know what I meen? That would be very nice!!

Also another reguest: I like the animated wheater icons in streamedMP also a lot..

Allright, haha, I thought you where one of the skin developers.. Well, I hope that they take a look to your images, because I want that asap on my HTPC!

The default one isn't ugly at all, but your creations in post #132 are much nicer, so I hope that they take that one for the next release!

Just tried this skin and very impressed but have 2 queries/requests.

1. The default backdrop (a heap of dvd covers) used for the tv or epg screens is very busy to the point of being obtrusive for me... Can I change or disable this?

2. Is there any XML add-on or update planned to add a banner grid in the tv series view like posted on page 3 by psycho reptile?

Look forward to the next releases as this is a very promising skin!

1. go to the mustayaluca skin folder programdata/teammediaportal/mediaportal/skin/mustayluca/media/backgrounds/tv and add your own image, then go to skin editor and change the background there.
2. next update will have banner view

Sorted the tv background, just replaced with the grey wavy default from the akin itself and it's much better for my taste.

Have noticed though that in the music view, or in iTunes trailers etc there is no text showing what is selected so if there is no album thumbnail it is not clear until the object is selected... Has this been discussed and will this change in future versions? Any view on how long till the next drop - are we talking in the next couple of weeks or longer?

Sorry on a roll now... One thing with any skin that I do find less convenient than mce is the view for recorded tv. A list is quite long when a lot of recordings build up.

The icon view could be good, but a block of thumbnails doesn't work for me as they are often blank or show an advert rather than make it clear what the episodes are so you are navigating the grid looking at the text label at the bottom to see if you are on the right item. Any way to include a label either as the icon, or under the icon to say what the program name is?

Edit 2: when playing music the fanart on the basic home still rotates random, could it show the fanart for now playing music like clr does?

not sure if this is a skin issue but when I search the youtube videos using the online videos plugin it does not display the video title, it just shows a screenshot of the video, also the keyboard in online videos does not work correctly, when you type a number a letter pops up
