could that be 1080p films? I stumbled on this problem after messing around with postprocessing ffdshow. I have not yet figured this one out. But SD and 720p films plays fine. But I get the sound of 1080p films. But I don't think this is skin related. Or do the films play OK with the default skin?

Thanks for replying. But the problem is with most movies. SD 720p and 1080p.

Some play and some dont. They just get stuck on "Loading"

Have you tried using the default skin? Does the film plays fine then? If so, it is not skin related.

Sorry for the slow reply. Ive just tried the default skin. The same problems.

Atleast now we narrowed it down that it's not the skin itself.

Is there a specific plug in/ or extension I should be checking to see if its updated or not?

If I am not wrong I've never had issues playing .mkv files before

I downloaded that codec. It turns out I was using an out dated one and it asked me to uninstall a bunch of other stuff on the side.

The next release is just about ready, Psycho Reptile will update 1st post and website link when ready.

Apart from all the extra additions and bug fixes the biggest concern that people had was the installation. I think all issues are now fixed (esp all the plugin installations). The only exception is in some cases MPEI fails to install fonts, this is a known issue with MediaPortal. You can encounter the font install issue in 2 ways:

- Installer hangs and doesnt appear to progress (last entry in log window will NOT mention fonts). To fix, exit and reboot then try again.
- Installer appears to work successfully but upon loading MediaPortal, fonts dont look correct according to screenshots. To fix, reboot and load again. If still a problem you may need to also reinstall.

Sorry about those issues but its been a headache for all skin installers, not just Mustayaluca. I suggest a reboot before installing Mustayaluca and a reboot after install completes.
