Also added the ability to use the raw track title against the cleaned version , controlled by new setting

Display non-cleaned version track name

With this enabled the video 50 Cent - Just A Lil Bit (uncut).mpeg will have a title displayed as Just A Lil Bit (uncut) against Just A Lil Bit.

Thanks Trevor.... just want to give some more info on what the raw track title is as I use it....

Like I mentioned in a previous post... all of my music videos are named as <Artist> - <Track> (Extra Info When Needed).<ext> and my folder structure is Music/Videos/*Genre*/-video files-

You still get Album info if you wish but keeping videos named all the same way in a simple supported format will make everything 100 times easier. It does not have to be like the way I do it, but keep it all the same and keep them clean for best results.

The way I have it allows me to go to an artist.. say Metallica... and view the following list
One
One (Live)
Enter Sandman
Enter Sandman (Live in Ft. Worth)
Enter Sandman (Deadmau5 Remix)
Enter Sandman (Symphonic)

or

Go into Stevie Wonder and see...
Signed, Sealed and Delivered
Uptight
Uptight Religion (R.E.M. Mash-Up)


So, pick a supported style... name then accordingly and cleaned... and stick with it for the best results!!!!

Thanks for the responses. I have a similar system. I use <artist> - <Title>(duet with artist2)[extra info].<ext>. In My Music Videos There was a manual addition, so I would had the video a second time under artist2
eg. Beyonce - Deja Vu (duet with Jay Z) would appear

1. under Beyonce as Deja Vu (Duet with Jay Z) and
2. under Jay Z as Beyonce - Deja Vu (duet with Jay Z)

Not perfect but the video would be found under both artist. I was wondering if that is possible in mvCentral

Oh, I forgot to ask could you make the location of the playlist folder configurable? Then I could putthem on the NAS and access from multiple clients.

This exception is one I am tring to track down, it happens when it fails to fully parse a filename and olny creates 1/2 an entry. There would have been an entry you were trying to edit - can you let me have the full path for the file please. Cut & paste into an editor as it may be a unicode issue.

Not sure but is this the path you need?

A little extra info on how to get the "Genres" the way u want:

Press right on the remote to access hidden menu and choose "Configure Genres" to select which of the "tags" last.fm uses to be set to a "Genre" then once u have selected all the tags u want, then change the view to "Genres" via the hidden menu.

Hey Trevor, new Genres option is really nice

A few minor issues - in Default skin (I assume Lyfesaver74 checked Defaultwide )

1. Menu - Configure Genres button is a bit off (see mvcentralmenu screenshot)
2. Artist videos info displays incorrectly in Genres list (see mvcentral_Artistvideos screenshot)
3. As soon as I open mvcentral I get translation errors such as: "No translation found for id 212011" in error.log

Hi trevor,

first of all I really love this plugin, great work!!!

Normally I'm using My Music Video with roundabout 2.300 clips.

My problem with both tools is that I sort my interprets like this:

filename:
Adams, Bryan - Summer Of 69.mpg
69 Eyes, The - Brandon Lee.mpg

I would like to sort Bryan Adams under A not under B or The 69 Eyes under # not under T.
So my problem is that the importer never finds the right item in last.fm for Adams, Bryan and manually work is needed (you remember 2.300 clips...). This works fine in Moving Pictures.

Additionally the field 'sort by' in the library view seem to have no effect (see image).

I hope you can help me! Thanks a lot!

beyoncé feat. jay z - deja vu
blue system - deja vu
there's just deja vu.jpg own thumbs than present name - numbers without

read via the "title"! always fit well with e.g. movpic!
in the adv. options (screen) does not yet, it says "track" and "title" does not recognize it!

'm still for the following solution.

Thanks, I have added this to the issue tracker - this is part enhancement and part defect, solowiy working through a long snagging list but hopfull have something soon.
