mVids - Music Video Database (1 Viewer)

Whenever I try and manually add an artist and song into the DB I get an error box with the option to either Continue or Quit.

I have attached the details in the error dialog box.
If you need anything else, let me know.

ok the above is wrong it is not the hypens with double ones in
have done another scan and there are 2 songs it caannot get right and offers me list but the artist not in there so i click skip
as soon as i do that it starts to go wrong from there
hope this helps iron out any thing that is amiss or give me a idea where is going wrong

Seems to be related to the same bug. I believe this is fixed now but I'm sure you'll let me know if it's not. Expect the updated version this weekend. It will have a much improved and more stable scanning system in it that should eliminate these problems. Thanks for the detailed feedback.

I'm pretty sure I know what's happening here and it should be fixed. Thanks for pointing that out.

Try this build out. Some parts are not yet implemented, but the scanning should work a little better. If you already have a good working database, don't use this yet. I haven't finished the updater yet.

Ahh, looks like I forgot one minor thing. I will post an updated version tonight if you wouldn't care to try it. Thanks for trying these out for me.

yeah

just dumped some more videos in there as well
and the scanning seems to b working a treat
everything seemed to go in fine the odd song i could not match up but gave a best close enough answer
so seems to be scanning right
will update if any thing else i see

well since you want it testing a little more found another bug then i think
some files are not added

and yes they do play from the cmd line pasting in the path and file name
from the log so the files exist and are playable

The cause for all of those is the lack of the hyphen separating the artist from the video's title.

So for example

Dj unk walk it out .mpg

Should be

Dj unk - walk it out.mpg
