Hello,

So is the plugin more of a management tool for Anime Downloaded from Torrents rather than imported is that what we are saying, as you said "as i have encoded the files myseld they won't appear on anidb" what names do i need to be looking for....should i just download Samurai Champloo as a torrent is that going to be easier i own the origional so it shouldn't be a issue.

Bit Confused

    AW: My Anime 2

I installed RC6 and there were no problems.
I should have looked at you error message first I guess...
I am pretty sure you have copied the Anime2.dll to the wrong location. It should only be in the following folder
    C:\Program Files\Team MediaPortal\MediaPortal\plugins\Windows

Delete the DLL from any other locations under the "C:\Program Files\Team MediaPortal" folder

Omg... I'm really sorry for bothering you with such a stupid fault by myself... :(
I had copied the DLL at first, I don't know exyctly why, to the MP Main Dir and the PlugIn Dir.
    It's working fine now ;)
    Thank you!

Hi Rich, from what I understand the plugin uses a hash code of the file and compares that to the known hashes in the AniDB. These hashes come from the fansub groups who release the files online. You can go and manually add series and groups for your own files which I've done for a few I've encoded myself, however this will become quite tedious if you have a large collection. The only other option you may have is that more and more Anime is being added to the tVDB that MyTVseries uses, you could therefore name your self encoded anime appropriately (Anime SxxExx - title.ext) and have that plugin manage it for you.

    Hello BeeJay,

Ah right so that is what the Hashcode is for then...it just seems like a bit of a problem to manage my files that have come of a box set as they are in 2/3 episodes per disk which is encoded into 1 file, adding my own anime was also proving a pain as i had setup a group etc then when i went to assign a file to it fille it all in clicked save and nothing appeared...which was weird.

I might do what you suggest and let MyTVseries manage it instead if that works as i had a look and SamuraiChamploo is on there :)

Takes a bit of getting used to but i think i am getting somewhere slowly.

    Rich

AFAIK, AniDB frowns upon people adding files encoded for their own use. The database is meant for public consumption, as are the files added to it.

I've never been able to replicate this. I assume you are using the internal MP player?
Can you see any errors in the MedialPortal of MyAnime logs?

Regarding the problems with torrent downloading that someone mentioned a while back.
Did the "Test Connection" button on the "Downloads" tab work.

    Re: Issue 198

Do you have the resuming issue only with MyAnime or in all of MediaPortal? I had the problem with all my video's and not only resuming, pausing and unpausing stopped the playback in my case. For me it was the default audio device. It's an onboard realtek soundcard. After I changed it to a different device. Realtek High Def instead of the normal Realtek audio device (or the other way around, can't check it now). Hope it helps.

Yes - standard player. It's only happening with MyAnime - here is the Log:
