    Question regarding automatic grouping

The new option to group a series to an existing one if related is a very good feature - is there any option also to make this for exsiting series automatically?

When you do it over the info by hand you get the realted group - but (at least in my case) since I'm collecting for years now lot of the older series are spliited (these whole Gundams for example) and the naming makes it hard to find them ...

    Regards

Yes this is possible, but I'll probably leave to the 2.5 release, as we are currently trying to wrap up 2.4 (don't want to introduce too many bugs at the last moment)

    2.4 requires MP 1.1.0 RC3 or higher.
We won't be supporting anything before this

    Thanks

    Release 2.4.0.10

Credit: mpiva and craige1 did most of the work on this one.

    Important Notes

    1. MyAnime now requires MediaPortal 1.1.0 RC3 or better
    2. This version involves quite large database changes, and it may take a while for MyAnime to start the first time after the upgrade if you have a large collection
    3. Because of the large scale database changes you should take a back-up of the database if you are using the zip package. The installer will automatically take a back-up if you use that.

    Download

    MyAnime2_v2.4.0.11.exe

    Hi,

big thx for the new version :)
So far its running without problems...
But I made a Import run with my old database and it seems to me, that it adds every series as a group, even if I didn't have that anime on disc...
So I have many "dead" groups?!
    Did I make something wrong?

I've also tried a clean database, the same. It seems to me that he askes anidb starting from A to Z for every title in the anidb...
The Anidb Queue is really long.

    That should'nt be happening.

Could you please PM me a copy of you're previous database file?

If you installed My Anime using the installer, a copy of the database file will be in the "anime2" folder inside MediaPortal's install folder. On a default install that is "%programfiles(x86)%\Team MediaPortal\MediaPortal\anime2" without quotes.

For anyone having the same issue as Truri. Turn off the "Update AniDB Data on version change" under "Run Import Actions" in the "Advanced Options" tab on the config dialog. A fix will be out soonish.
