Re: AW: My Anime 2

I've got a problem with a certain series - Chi's Sweet Home. The files are recognized correctly, but they don't show up in the episodes listing of MediaPortal. Could it be a problem with the '?

FWIW, I have series with apostrophes in them and they show up just fine. Have you looked in the MyAnime2 plugin configuration screen from the MediaPortal configuration tool to confirm that all the episodes are there?

Also I don't know how to hide watched episodes. Although many from my lists are marked as watched in anidb, the plugin doesn't seem to recognize any of them as such.

You have to change the setting to hide watched episodes. See attached screenshots.

Thanks for your answer! The files shows up in the file manager and the different episodes are recognized, but except for one episode they aren't connected with the series. I've attached two screenshots.

I thought, the plugin would synchonize episodes marked as watched in anidb with its watched status. Now I changed all of them to watched manually, so it works.

Re: SQLite out of memory exception

I'm having problems with the series One Piece. It seems like the plugin is trying to grab so much data that SQLite actually runs out of memory when trying to get the episode data.

I first noticed a problem when one of the new episodes I downloaded failed to show up after an import. Then I noticed in the plugin configuration that the One Piece group was just generally messed up (missing all the episodes). I tried to re-import all the episodes from the configuration screen, but the screen just hangs and I get a SQLite out of memory exception (see attached log). Also, I notice configuration.exe climbing to rather high memory usage, about 1.7GB. I guess there is a limit somewhere to how much memory SQLite consumes because my machine has 4GB RAM and there is still over 1GB available according to Task Manager.

I am attaching 2 logs, the BAK, which is when I ran the import episodes the first time. The LOG is when I tried it again.

Any way we can increase the amount of memory SQLite can use until a fix comes out?

Thanks!

You may be running into memory limits with a 32bit OS.
I also have One Piece and don't get any issues.
Any reason you haven't upgraded to version 2.4 of the plugin. It tends to use less memory, and MIGHT solve your problem.

    Hi Iwerndly,

Good to see you guys are still around as it became somehow quiet around the dev group with the last update of the Google Source Code Changelog is dated Oct. 22.

Also seems like the forum didn't exist anymore (dead link).

So started to get worried :)

    Cheers,

    Cheers,

The forums should still be there :)

KwizatZ has done some changes which I want to release at some stage.
Unfortunately I've been working 12 hour days for the last few months, and haven't really had the time/energy to work on the plugin.

I'll probably look to hand-over the release duties to craige soon, although I haven't told him that yet :)

I'm actually running Win7 64-bit. But for some reason, I never noticed that 2.4 was released! The utility screen keeps saying my plugin was up-to-date :p

I updated and all is well. :D

Ah OK, so for some reason your downloaded files did not automatically get connected to the series. In my experience, this has primarily been due to:

    1. Your files are somehow corrupted. But this doesn't seem to be the case as at least for ep 40 the ED2K hash in your screenshot matches the hash in AniDB.

    OR

    2. Your connection to AniDB somehow got FUBAR'ed and you'll just have to try to re-run the import at a later time (or after a restart). I think this problem was fixed a long time ago though.

So...what I would try is go to the plugin configuration, under the Manager tab, double click on Chi's Sweet Home (the series, not the group), and you'll get a popup like in the first screenshot. Hit the "Download Eps" link by AniDB ID.

After a while, it'll be done, and you should see all the episodes listed like in the 2nd screenshot. Double-click one of the episodes, do you see anything listed in the Associated Files section at the bottom of the popup? If not, you can manually associate it at this time, or try to re-run the import and see if it works now.

I thought, the plugin would synchonize episodes marked as watched in anidb with its watched status. Now I changed all of them to watched manually, so it works.
It does auto-synchronize, but maybe there's a bug with the initial synchronization?

Find timeout = 0 is very very bad

In a somewhat unrelated note, I found that setting the timeout for the Find popup to "0" can be an extremely bad thing. MyAnime2 will refuse to run afterwards and even the plugin config screen will fail to load. Fortunately, I hunted down the setting in MediaPortal.xml and changed it back to "1". The UI should probably prevent users from setting it to an invalid value

However, the reason why I tried setting it to "0" is because I'm wondering if it's possible to disable the Find feature. The reason for this being, I am using a case with a built in IMON receiver and accompanying IMON software for my remote. The IMON driver/software package is fairly pathetic, but that's what I'm stuck with right now. Even when it's changed to use an MCE remote, the IMON software ALWAYS sends a backspace character to MediaPortal to "go back", instead of using the default Escape character. This means I have had to use some hacky workarounds to get MediaPortal to use backspace in addition to Escape in order to go back a screen. This doesn't quite work for MyAnime2 because sending backspace will automatically bring up the Find dialog. Rather than disabling it, it would also be fine if the Find dialog doesn't pop up when backspace is the first character being sent. Please consider this in a future release ;)

Sorry and good to hear at the same time.
You did all an awful good plugin which is extremly helpful in managing the anime collections within MP.
Would be a pitty if it would dying out.

I also use the imon receiver and software with mediaportal. I don’t have any problems with it currently. My setup is a logitec harmony remote setup to be a MCE remote, the IMON software is set to receive an MCE remote. I just setup mediaportal as a normal program in the IMON config and have it send normal keypresses. Maybe i could help you if you would like. I could send my IMON profile for mediaportal to you to take a look at if you would like.

I myself will be more busy next year, but I will die before I let my anime stall.
